THE ROCKS - About the Band

About the Band

PAT HAMILL - vocals, bass guitar, keyboards

MICHAEL MARTIN - lead guitar, vocals

MIKE WARREN - drums and percussion

The history of The Rocks dates back to 1997, when founding members Pat Hamill (vocals, bass guitar, keyboards) and Michael Martin (lead guitar, vocals) first played musically together at a grade-school birthday party. The partnership formed that night has endured for over a decade and produced hundreds of songs. Hamill and Martin recorded and performed as a duo until 2008, at which point The Rocks expanded to a three-piece band. Mike Warren (drums and percussion) has since served as the band's backbone. Based in Wixom, Michigan, The Rocks have thrilled crowds throughout the state for over two years.

With Hamill and Martin acting as songwriters and producers, The Rocks independently released an album, Your Calling, in 2009, and an E.P., Moving On, in 2010. The band also recorded a collection of cover songs live to coincide with the launch of their official website.

Through a steady output of spectacular original material and exciting live performances, The Rocks have proven to be one of the best bands to emerge from the Detroit music scene in years. One thing is certain: the best of The Rocks is yet to come.
